Day 1
  • Arrival – Yerevan evening tour- Welcome dinner with Armenian traditional show performance 
  • Arrival to Yerevan, transfer to the hotel, check-in.Evening tour- Yerevan sightseeing including City center,Republic square, Opera, Cascade Complex, wine Tasting in Maran Winery with the head of Winemaker’s Association of Armenia. Walk in the Cascade complex, which is considered the modern art center of Yerevan, with art pieces displayed throughout the whole area: the boulevard and up the stairs, from top of which you can enjoy the panoramic view on the city and Mountain Ararat. Cascade is home to Cafesjan modern art museum. This place becomes even more charming in the evenings, when it is full of people, both locals and tourists from all over the world, enjoying the magic and the warmth of the capital. Welcome dinner Armenian traditional restaurant with performance show.

Day 2
  • Garni-Geghard-Participation of Lavash baking-Vernissage-Cooking classes with professional chef
  • Breakfast served at hotel. Today we visit the Geghard Cave Monastery, cut into solid rock. Deep in its cavernous interior a choir will sing Armenian spiritual and traditional music, showing off the special acoustic to great effect. Our last visit will be to the Hellenistic temple at Garni. The visit of Garni-Geghard complex is followed by a lunch at restaurant, where you will have the opportunity to watch the process of Armenian flat bread – lavash. Unlike most other types of bread, Armenian Lavash doesn`t contain a yeast or traditional bread starter which makes Lavash healthier and suitable for almost any diet. Drive back to Yerevan. Visit Yerevan Vernissage Market. Cooking classes at Armenian traditional restaurant with professional chef. We will take first-hand part in the process of making Armenian dolma at traditional Armenian restaurant. Traditional Armenian dolma is considered to be one of the jewels of Armenian cuisine.

Day 3
  • Lake Sevan- Making Armenian Barbeque-Dilijan
  • Breakfast served at hotel. One of the world’s highest lakes, Lake Sevan, is our destination this morning. The visit of Sevanavank will be followed by a lunch at restaurant on the lake shore, during which tourist will have opportunity to take part in the process of making Armenian barbeque – ‘Khorovats’  in the tonir (underground clay oven)and taste the result right away. Khorovats is a typical Armenian dish, which can always be found on every Armenian table during feast events. Then we will continue our trip to Dilijan. Surrounded by a National Park is the monastery at Goshavank, with fine examples of Armenian cross-stones. We spend some time in the pretty resort town of Dilijan which for centuries has attracted artists, writers and musicians. Benjamin Britten, Shostakovich, and Rostropovich all spent time here, enjoying its natural beauty and solitude. We will see the buildings in which they stayed. Today many artisans come to practice their crafts in Dilijan. Drive back to Yerevan.

Day 4

     

  • Yerevan-Khor Virap-Areni Winery-Noravank Monastery
  • Breakfast served at hotel.

    Visit Khor Virap Monastery. To this day you can visit the underground chamber where St. Gregory the Illuminator, the first Armenian Patriarch, was imprisoned for 13 years before curing King Trdat III of a disease. This caused the conversion of the king and Armenia into the first officially Christian nation in the world in the year 301A.D. Its location, near the closest point to Mount Ararat within Armenian borders, offers a spectacular view of the mountain, the national symbol of Armenia.
    Visit “
    Areni” Winery which specializes in the production of premium dry red Vayots Dzor wines from the Areni grape. It produces 80,000 – 100,000 bottles of wine a year and also ages its wines in oak barrels for one to fifteen years. Enjoy your lunch at a nice restaurant on Arpa River bank. Try the best Armenian beef kebab here, as well as goat cheese and salads typical to this region. Continue to Noravank Monastery (13 -14th centuries), an architectural gemstone nestled among brick-red cliffs, just above a deep gorge. The breathtaking church of the monastery is St. Astvatsatsin, a two-storied building with an open-air church.

Day 5
  • Yerevan City Tour-Ararat Cognac Factory
  • Breakfast served at hotel.

    Today we will have Yerevan City Tour which will give you an opportunity to have a clear view of our wonderful country. Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, is a modern, colorful city, situated in the Northeastern part of the Ararat Valley. Yerevan is one of the oldest cities in the world. We will visit Victory Park, Ararat Cognac Factory, Matenadaran , Vernissage Market and Food Market where you can marvel with fresh, dried fruits and marinated vegetables. Visit Ararat Cognac Factory , get acquainted with the legends of ARARAT brandies, learn the 120 years old history of Armenian brandy manufacture, know who has drunk Armenian brandy, and see the oldest Armenian barrels and the medals which decorate the ARARAT legend. Spend a lovely and unforgettable time in the tasting hall enjoying the wonderful brandy cognac.
